Finalize SP2020 through Main Instructor Training

Jakarta - "For the first time a population census will use data sourced from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registry. This is a special thing in the history of the Population Census in Indonesia, "said Ahmad Jaelani, BPS Main Inspector when he opened the Initiative Census (Intama) Population 2020 (SP2020) training at the Gran Melia Hotel (11/11).
This training aims to finalize the concepts, definitions and provide the same explanation and understanding of SP2020 data collection. Intama candidates who were trained consisted of 25 echelon four officials and functional central BPS plus 10 regional BPS people who had been selected.
"By involving regional friends, the hope is to enrich what problems will arise in the field," explained Ahmad Jaelani.
During the six effective days, participants will explore and elaborate a large part of the population census, namely their field activities. In addition to explaining the concept and definition material, role playing will also be done using a final questionnaire.
"Yes, the SP2020 questionnaire has been finalized. One questionnaire only contained 21 questions concerning individual variables, employment, housing, and education, "said Mariet Tetty as the chief organizer. While more detailed and more questions will be carried out in the sample enumeration in 2021.
The concepts and definitions that are clear and refer to the international guidelines used in SP2020 must be well understood by the main instructors. This is the starting point for ensuring accurate and comparable SP2020 data results.
