* The city of Palembang in April 2015 experienced inflation of 0.48 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to April was -0.85 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (April 2015 against April 2014) was 6.93 percent.
* Based on seven (7) expenditure groups in the city of Palembang in April 2015, all (7) groups experienced an increase in the price index, namely the clothing group by 1.43 percent; transportation, communication & financial services group of 0.72 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group at 0.51 percent; foodstuffs group by 0,40 percent; health group 0.29 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.17 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.09 percent.
* Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in Palembang City include gasoline, broiler meat, shallots, bags and granulated sugar. While commodities which experienced a decline in prices with the highest share of deflation included rice, air transportation, cork, squid, and electricity tariffs.
* Lubuk Linggau City in April 2015 experienced inflation of 0.99 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to April is -1.23 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (April 2015 against April 2014) is 7.76 percent.
* Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest inflation share in Lubuk Linggau City during April 2015 included: gasoline, broiler meat, shallots, rice with side dishes and granulated sugar. While commodities that experienced a decline in prices with the highest share of deflation included rice; race chicken eggs; cellular phones, bricks, kale and cooking oil.
* Based on inflation calculation in Palembang city and Lubuk Linggau city, in April 2015 South Sumatra Province experienced inflation of 0.53 percent, the cumulative inflation rate up to April 2015 was -0.89 percent and the inflation rate was "year on year" ( April 2015 against April 2014) was 7.02 percent.
* Based on price monitoring during April 2015 in 82 CPI cities in Indonesia, indicating that 72 cities experienced inflation and 10 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tual City (1.31 percent), the lowest was in the city of Cilacap (0.02 percent). The highest deflation occurred in the City of Manokwari (-0.69 percent), the lowest occurred in the City of Sukabumi and Kendari (-0.03 percent).
