Abstract

The city of Palembang in November 2015 experienced inflation of 0.68 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to November was 1.91 percent and the year on year inflation rate (November 2015 to November 2014) was 4.71 percent.

In November 2015, the inflation of Palembang City based on expenditure group showed that all (seven) groups experienced an increase in price index, namely the foodstuffs group of 2.05 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 1.27 percent; education, recreation and sports group by 0.39 percent; clothing group by 0,14 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by0.03 percent; health group of 0.03 percent; and transportation, communication & financial services by 0.03 percent.

Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest inflation share in Palembang included: pedigree meat, cigarettes, rice, tomatoes and purebred eggs. While commodities that experienced price declines with the highest share of deflation included: brick, gold jewelery, gasoline, goldfish, electricity tariffs and sugar.

The city of Lubuk Linggau in November 2015 experienced inflation of 0.23 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to November was 2.03 percent and the year on year inflation rate (November 2015 to November 2014) was 5.12 percent.

Commodities experiencing price increases that caused inflation in Lubuk Linggau City in November 2015 included: vegetable tomatoes, purebred meat, rice, cabbage / cabbage, cigarettes and purebred eggs. While commodities that experienced the highest price declines included red chillies, household fuels, native chicken meat, sugar and gold jewelry.

Based on the calculation of inflation in the city of Palembang and the city of Lubuk Linggau, in November 2015 the South Sumatra Province experienced inflation of 0.63 percent, the cumulative inflation rate up to November 2015 was 1.92 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (November 2015 to November 2014) is 4.75 percent.

Based on price monitoring during November 2015 in 82 CPI cities in Indonesia, it showed that 69 cities experienced inflation and 13 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Merauke City (2.35 percent), the lowest occurred in Ternate City (0.02 percent). While the highest deflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang City (-1.02 percent) and the lowest in Manado City (-0.01 percent).
