Abstract

1. Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in November 2016 amounted to 94.85 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2016 still decreased compared to the base year of 2012. However, compared to the previous month, November 2016 NTP experienced an increase of 0.03 percent due to an increase in the price index received by farmers relative to and an increase in the price index paid by farmers.

2. The November 2016 Agricultural Business Exchange (NTUP) in November 2016 was 103.05 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2016 was better than the base year of 2012. And when compared to the previous month, NTUP November 2016 rose 0.51 percent.

3. NTP without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in November 2016 amounted to 94.77 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2016 also declined compared to the base year 2012. However, if compared with the previous month, FTT without fisheries November 2016 up by 0.03 percent.

4. NTUP without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in November 2016 amounted to 102.88 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2016 was better than the base year of 2012. And when compared to the previous month, NTUP November 2016 also increased by 0.51 percent.

5. Based on the NTP and NTUP subsector, in November 2016 all subsectors experienced an increase compared to October 2016, except for the livestock subsector which experienced a decline.

6. Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farmer households. In November 2016 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.88 percent. Where all expenditure groups experienced inflation, except for transportation and communication expenditure groups that experienced deflation.
