·          The role of food commodities on the poverty line (GK) is far greater than the role of non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education and health). The contribution of the Food Poverty Line (GKM) to the Poverty Line in September 2018 in urban areas was 71.31 percent, this condition was not much different from the condition in September 2017 which was 71.62 percent.

·         Food commodities that have a large influence on the poverty line in urban areas are relatively the same as in rural areas, including rice, filtered clove cigarettes, chicken meat, chicken eggs, instant noodles, granulated sugar, red chillies and shallots. While non-food commodities are housing, electricity, gasoline, education and toiletries.

·          In the period September 2017-September 2018, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) and the Poverty Severity Index (P2) both show a decrease.
