Abstract
The rice harvested area in 2021 is estimated at 492.04 thousand hectares, a decrease of 59.28 thousand hectares or 10.75 percent compared to 2020 which was 551.32 thousand hectares.
Rice production in 2021 is estimated at 2,540.94 thousand tons of GKG, a decrease of 202.12 thousand tons of GKG or 7.37 percent compared to 2020 which was 2,743.06 thousand tons of GKG.
If the potential for rice production in 2021 is converted into rice for the population's food consumption, then rice production in 2021 is estimated at 1,451.63 thousand tons, a decrease of 115.47 thousand tons or 7.37 percent compared to 2020 which was 1,567.10 thousand tons.

In 2024, the rice harvest area is estimated at 521.25 thousand hectares with rice production of around 2,842.56 thousand tons of milled dry grain (GKG).
