The city of Palembang in June 2015 experienced inflation of 0.39 percent

Abstract

The city of Palembang in June 2015 experienced inflation of 0.39 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to June was 0.09 percent and the year on year inflation rate (June 2015 to June 2014) was 7.39 percent.

Based on expenditure groups in Palembang City in June 2015, 6 (six) groups experienced an increase in price index, namely the foodstuffs group of 1.54 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 0.41 percent; education, recreation and sports group of 0.27 percent; clothing group by 0,25 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group of 0.08 percent; and the health group by 0.01 percent. While 1 (one) expenditure group experienced a decrease in the price index, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group by -0.33 percent.

Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest inflation share in Palembang included: rice, eggs, broiler chicken, cucumbers, and cooking oil. While commodities that experienced price declines with the highest share of deflation included air transportation, shallots, corks, conjoined sepat and cement.

The city of Lubuk Linggau in June 2015 experienced inflation of 0.86 percent. The cumulative inflation rate from 2015 to June was 0.13 percent and the year on year inflation rate (June 2015 to June 2014) was 8.32 percent.

Commodities that experienced price increases with the highest inflation share in Lubuk Linggau City during June 2015 included: red chillies, broilers eggs, broilers, cabbage / cabbage, tilapia, and sugar. While commodities that experienced a price decline with the highest share of deflation included onions, potatoes and vegetable tomatoes.

Based on the calculation of inflation in the city of Palembang and the city of Lubuk Linggau, in June 2015 the South Sumatra Province experienced inflation of 0.44 percent, the cumulative inflation rate up to June 2015 was 0.09 percent and the inflation rate was "year on year" (June 2015 as of June 2014) was 7.49 percent.

Based on price monitoring during June 2015 in 82 CPI cities in Indonesia, it showed that 76 cities experienced inflation and 6 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong City (1.90 percent), the lowest occurred in Palu City (0.03 percent). While the highest deflation occurred in Tual City (-0.80 percent), the lowest was in Pangkal Pinang City (-0.14 percent).
