Economy of South Sumatra Province in quarter IV-2015 when compared to quarter IV-2014 (y-on-y) grew by 3.94 percent slower when compared to the same period of the previous year of 5.98 percent

Abstract

The economy of South Sumatra Province in 2015 which is measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of current prices reached Rp 332.73 trillion and per capita GRDP reached Rp 41.32 million.

ü The economy of the Province of South Sumatra in 2015 grew 4.50 percent slowing compared to 2014 amounted to 4.70 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security of 10.49 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component of 4.50 percent.

ü Economy of South Sumatra Province in the fourth quarter of 2015 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2014 (y-on-y) grew by 3.94 percent slower when compared to the same period the previous year of 5.98 percent.

ü Economy of South Sumatra Province quarter IV-2015 contracted -3.55 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, this was caused by seasonal effects on the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields which grew by minus 25.04 percent. In terms of expenditure, it was caused by the slowing growth of Net Exports mainly due to the contraction in Oil and Gas Exports of 19.45 percent.
