Abstract

  • The economy of South Sumatra Province as measured by the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2015 reached Rp 83.27 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 63.58 trillion.
  • The economy of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2015 to the second quarter of 2014 grew 4.87 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Transportation and Warehousing by 11.43 percent. On the expenditure side, the Household Consumption Expenditures Component grew by 5.19 percent.
  • The economy of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the previous quarter rose to 3.51 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, this growth was caused by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which grew 9.97 percent. Whereas in terms of Expenditures it was caused more by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which grew 11.48 percent.
