Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP) * South Sumatra in November 2015 amounted to 96.30 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in November 2015 still decreased compared to the base year of 2012. However, when compared to the previous month, the November 2015 NTP rose relatively small amount of 0.06 percent due to the index price increase received by farmers is higher than the increase in price index paid by farmers.
  • The South Sumatra Agricultural Exchange (NTUP) in November 2015 was 102.68 percent, indicating that in general farmers' purchasing power in November 2015 was better than the base year of 2012. Similarly, when compared to the previous month, NTUP November 2015 increased by 0 30 percent.
  • NTP without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in November 2015 was 96.20 percent, indicating that in general farmers purchasing power in November 2015 also declined compared to the base year of 2012. However, when compared to the previous month, NTP without fisheries in November 2015 increased by 0.07 percent.
  • NTUP Without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in November 2015 was 102.64 percent, indicating that in general farmers purchasing power in November 2015 was better than the base year of 2012. Similarly, when compared to the previous month, NTUP November 2015 increased by 0.32 percent.
  • Based on NTP and NTUP sub-sectors, in November 2015 the sub-sector experienced an increase compared to October 2015, namely the food crops sub-sector, and the horticultural crop sub-sector. . Furthermore, the NTP sub-sector experienced a decline while the NTPUP experienced an increase.
  • Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farm households. In November 2015, rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 0.46 percent. Almost all expenditure groups experienced inflation, except housing expenditure groups.
